Another excellent, productive and thoroughly enjoyable photosession. I had some very specific images to capture with Keith and Heather They created them to perfection. They were both excellent at following instructions, gave some very helpful feedback during the shoot and helped to create some fantastic images with their natural modelling and acting skill sets. Almost more impressive than anything was the diversity of the photos they were able to capture, from jovial to joyful to stern to intensely emotional. I very highly recommend Keith and Heather for a very wide variety of modelling and acting needs.  Their skills and professionalism are sky high.

Another shoot with Keith; you know how it is when you prepare to shoot a frame, and the camera just screams "I love this guy"? That's how it is with this most natural of all models.

His list of achievements within the modelling/acting world are richly deserved.

When you next think about shooting a male model, look this guy up. He's a complete natural.

As per the reference given for Jessica Knight, had a wonderful three hour shoot with Keith in partnership with his wife (Jessica Knight), in a combination of satirical and the out in the countryside. Their communication was fantastic, enabling me to turn a mad cap thought in my mind into something that works in an actual photo. There was a fabulous flow of ideas and thoughts about how to make things work, the 3 hours zoomed by like an express train through a station.

I would highly recommend Jessica and Keith.

My first session with 2 models - a perfect couple who were an absolute delight to work with. We all pooled our thoughts and with their background knowledge we had a really enjoyable time. How they both managed to be so positive and helpful having spent a happy couple of extra hours viewing the M25 I just do not know. Halfway through, we had some hiccups with the camera sulking but managed to achieve all the poses we wanted with my wife taking over as camera'man' while I painted.

It was lovely to experience and contribute to the synergy between us all, so it was just as a shoot should be, a very happy and enjoyable time with everybody working together to create our joint interpretation of our brief and in particular a Vermeer work - definitely to be repeated.

I highly recommend Jessica and Keith.

First time shooting with Keith, and as I expected he was very professional - understood the brief, was prompt and took direction well. I have multiple usable images from a short shoot. Recommended!

Piccadilly Gentleman

I had a wonderful shoot with Keith yesterday.

Pre shoot communications were great and he was very punctual.

As a model, he is outstanding. Not only does he look great but he takes direction remarkably well. He is very at ease in front of the camera and offered a wide variety of poses. He was professional and a great communicator.

I would highly recommend him to any photographer and look forward to working again with him in the future.

Keith is a friendly, accomplished, excellent model. He was able to do everything I asked, and was able to pick up what I wanted even when I was not quite sure myself. The session was hugely improved because of his own photography skills. He was able to give me all sorts of tips on lighting, camera angles and meter readings which transformed the session. He is a gifted model, being naturally photogenic. I normally hope to get around 1/3 of my photos to be of a high enough standard to share with others. With Keith I hardly deleted any images, they were that good. This is a model with oodles of character. It does not hurt that he is such a nice man too. I really enjoyed the photo shoot with him.

Did a video shoot with Keith as an actor and found him a pleasure to work with, and more importantly I believed what he did. A great performance in front of the camera. He's at the top of my list of people to work with again. Thanks.

S

I enjoyed my first photoshoot with Keith. Very easy to work with. Unhurried, engaging and readily co-operative with direction. It was a pleasure to spend a few hours with this interesting man.

Thank you Keith.

We met up in Hastings and a quick drink in a cafe before we started. Hastings is an interesting place and Keith took us to a few parts of the older parts of town, down by the boats, on the beach and ending up in a side street full of shops and communal area. Keith is a joy and a pleasure to work with, he brought along with him a small selection of clothing and a peeky blinders hat. The shoot itself flowed easily and was more of a street/portrait style of shoot, which was something different to what I had done before. Keith posed without direction as it was a more relaxed style of shoot which seemed comfortable for both of us and work well. If you have the chance to work with Keith I most definitely recommend working with him. Had an amazing few hours and would look forward to working with keith again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful shoot.

I had been shooting models for a while with great results but wanted to branch out more into character photography - in particular of men with great character. I put out a casting call and Keith responded. We set up a studio portrait session and started experimenting. Keith is a non-smoker but his face immediately suggested a pipe to me, so I came armed with one to the session. Keith came with a good range of outfits, hats, ties etc covering several genres.

Keith is very easy-going to work with and very cooperative. He has terrific character in his face and it made for a wonderful portrait session with some excellent results.

I recommend him highly as a model and I suggest him as a character actor too. I will certainly work with him again!

Keith and I worked together yesterday at Pevensey. Pre shoot communication was excellent and Keith suggested the venue as I am new to these parts. Great location. As well as being a good model Keith was excellent company and provided much useful information about the area.

Would thoroughly recommend and hope to meet again.

Keith came along with his partner Jessica who I had agreed a shoot with, with a little twisting he joined in and we created some good looking images. Keith is a pleasure to be around and I look forward to seeing what we can create in the future.

Lovely relaxed little shoot with Keith.

We had intended to do a slightly different concept but the weather didn't play ball so we had a casual walk around the location stopping to use somewhere interesting looking as we saw it.

Good company, a genuine guy and a good model. Can't really ask for more - recommended!'

'Had an amazing shoot with Keith. We discussed ideas and clothes beforehand and he had a variety on the day that worked so well.

So easy to work with and direct with the lighting/posing and was up for trying new things. It makes all the difference to have a model that can easily take direction. I am loving the images we have produced.

Keith is great to chat to while setting up and in-between shots. Having a giggle, making it a really relaxed shoot.

Would definitely work with him again.'

After a lot of communication trying to match dates, location and ideas, I finally managed a really great, fun shoot with Keith and his wife @JessicaKnight at Rosewood Farm. The pre-shoot comms really came in useful as the weather started off chilly, so we decided to do some historical costume work. They both had brought a wide range of outfits which looked perfect in the location.

Overall, I really enjoyed working with Keith and his wife. As a photographer, he knows how to put people at ease. He poses naturally well and has a great sense of humour. Keen to get the best out of the shoot for you, I would highly recommend him, whether as a historical character, nude or clothed, he makes the time fly by, productively. Thank you once again.

)

My first shoot with Keith. To set a great impression I asked him to dress like a tramp oh and smell like one.

Keith is a lovely guy, full of fun and played his part so well.

The shoot went well and he played a big part in making the day successful.

Hope to work with you again

)

Keith came into my studio to work alongside his wife Jessica Knight on a costume shoot using Hangleton Lane Studio's new virtual backdrop system, placing the two of them in scenarios such as the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles inside the studio.

One of Keith's advantages, being a photographer, is that he is also very responsive as a model, taking direction superbly well.

A pleasure to work with you Keith, and hope to see you back again very soon.

I shot with Grey Gent some time ago, when he worked as a perfect foil to his lovely wife (Jessica). I have to say he performed his brief superbly and I am very pleased with many of the shots of them both and indeed of him individually. I have worked with couples only occasionally, but if all were as easy to work with and direct, and all were as committed as Grey Gent and his lady they might become a habit! The success of the shoot is evidenced by the results, which have been generally very well received.

I had a really good shoot with Grey Gent today.

We agreed to shoot at the ruins of an old Manor House local to me and during pre shoot discussions he offered to wear some historic costumes that would fit into the feel of the location.

We met on time and as promised he brought along a fantasic tudor style outfit for the first section of our shoot. He also brought a more modern style which meant that we got a brilliant contrast of looks during our time together.

Keith was more than happy to follow any directions I would suggest and he has a distinguished look that not only suits the costumes well but also makes for some strong portraits.

I can certainly recommend Grey Gent and would happily shoot with him again should I get the chance.

Santa's Calling You customer

Thoroughly engaging, my son absolutely loved his (two!) calls with Santa.

Santa K (you know who you are)-thank you for making our son so happy; he is still smiling from ear to ear!

I thoroughly recommend Santa's calling you to anyone thinking about it. It's something your child won't soon forget!

Declan McKenna, best known for his hit song ‘Brazil’, released the video for his latest single ‘Mulholland's Dinner and Wine’ last Friday (February 2).

Eagle-eyed residents of East Sussex will recognise several locations in the video, including Beauport Park Golf Course, Flamingo Amusement and the promenade in Hastings. Eastbourne also features heavily with the Grove Laundrette in Little Chelsea serving as the setting for a psychedelic dance scene.

The video ends with a shot of Declan leaving the Laundrette and walking away down Grove Road.

Hastings-based actor Keith Leech MBE stars alongside the popstar and said he had ‘a real hoot’ filming the video which has racked up tens of thousands of views on

Keith’s first appearance in the video shows him reading the Hastings Observer before coming across an advert which asks if he’s satisfied with h is life. Declan then takes him on a journey of indulgence of drinking alcohol, drag racing and a lot of dancing.

Speaking about his experience filming the video, Keith said: “We had a real hoot. Such fun racing around a muddy field in golf buggies.

"Declan is a really nice guy too, one day he might even learn to drive!”

Keith is well-known locally for founding the hugely-popular Hastings Traditional Jack in the Green in 1984. He is also currently president of the Hastings Borough Bonfire Society and chairman for the Hastings Old Town Carnival Association.

He has appeared in several adverts, television series and other music videos – including one by Harry Styles in 2022.

A spokesperson for Hastings Council added: “The 1066 Country Film Office deals with requests from production companies who want to film a range of things in Hastings. This video was produced by a local production company, Ramshackle Productions, for Sony Music.

"The 1066 Country film office has worked with Ramshackle on several music videos in the past couple of years and they always like to use local people and locations when they can.”

Declan McKenna’s new album ‘What Happened to the Beach?’ is set to be released on February 9.
